**Description:** 2-(2-qunolin‑3‑ylpyridin‑4‑yl)‑1,5,6,7-tetrahydro‑4H-pyrrolo[3,2-c]pyridin‑4-one is a synthetic small molecule belonging to the pyrrolopyridine class. It has been studied as an experimental compound and is not approved for clinical use. The primary mechanism of action identified for this molecule is inhibition of MAP kinase–activated protein kinase 5 (MAPKAPK5) and MAP kinase–activated protein kinase 2 (MAPKAPK2), both of which are serine/threonine kinases involved in cellular stress response pathways. By inhibiting these kinases it may modulate inflammatory or stress-related signaling cascades; however its clinical applications remain unestablished and no indications or trials have been reported in humans.[1][9]
